A Recent Deconstruction/Reconstruction
This exquisite church was built c.1882. It became endangered and was rescued and carefully dismantled over two decades ago. It has been safeguarded in two different storage barns for 28 years. A wonderful steward has finally been found. It is being painstakingly reconstructed in a beautiful new location.

Glorious Resurrection!!
We carefully deconstruct endangered buildings, all the while documenting, numbering and tagging all of the original components. In partnership with a steward who chooses to resurrect a building, we then transport it and reconstruct it in its new location. The goal is to rescue each building into a safe haven. Another goal is to facilitate whatever design adaptations are necessary so that the building will be beloved for another 200 years and will never become endangered again.
What Glorious Resurrection means to us is that the building is safely in the hands of such a Steward.
Endangered by Neglect and Dismantled for Parts
Buildings become endangered by “progress” or neglect, or because, as they stand, they do not serve modern needs. The goal is to save it in its entirety and relocate it into safety for a new future. If the structural integrity of the building is compromised, it is probably not possible to save the entire building for reconstruction but it is often still possible to preserve many of the original components.

Sometimes a building is too far gone to be reconstructed properly.
It must then be meticulously partitioned for Building Materials or Architectural Antiques.
RePurposing Building Materials and Architectural Salvage
of Singular Craftsmanship
Antique Building Materials |
Architectural Antiques |
All of the Antique Building Materials and Architectural Antiques which can be salvaged from a deteriorating building are meticulously disassembled for reuse. Salvage Antique Building Materials of all kinds are often needed in order to repair a building that is damaged or wanted for use in restoration, sympathetic addition or reconstruction.
Find and Design
The surviving Artifacts can be the genesis and inspiration for a new design. In order to work properly with either the Architectural Salvage or Building Materials, it is best to start with them and design from there. Although we have lost touch with this way of working today, this technique has been common practice since Medieval Times. Our forefathers needed no prompting to reuse artifacts of the highest craftsmanship or to “go green”. There are currently multitudes of Architectural Antiques and Antique Building Materials available for reconstruction.
Preserving “In Situ”

It is always best to preserve an antique building in its original nest, but If you know of a building that is truly endangered and in need of saving, please contact us. It may be possible to find a steward and relocate it to a new nest. Moving it has to be better than total destruction.
Buildings are disappearing daily.
Calling all stewards!

In the catalog you will find hundreds of antique buildings that have been temporarily rescued. They are still in need of stewards to resurrect them into permanent safety and glory. Only then can they be considered really secure. They are currently either in storage or standing in the field awaiting adoption. Either way, they are still in danger. The Professionals in the Network are currently safeguarding them but they can’t afford to rescue and inventory all of the buildings and artifacts that are endangered throughout this continent without the help of Reconstruction minded designers and citizens.
What happens to a building that is not rescued in time?
